Tap-to-pay tracking, set up once.
iOS can tell Budget 66 about a Wallet payment the moment it happens. The app ships a Shortcuts action and walks you through wiring it up.
Open Shortcuts → Automation
New Automation, then pick Wallet (older iOS calls it Transaction).
Run immediately
Turn off "Ask Before Running" so it fires silently after each tap.
Map the fields
Add Budget 66's "Add new transaction" action and map name, amount and card.
Pick the category from the notification
After every payment a notification offers your categories. Tap one to file it, swipe it away to skip.

Guided automation setup with a test run
One number that means something.
Set a monthly budget and Budget 66 turns it into a daily allowance and a days-left count, so "left to spend" is a number you can act on today.
- Monthly budget and savings goal: set during onboarding, changeable any time.
- Per-category limits: cap food, transport, whatever runs away from you.
- Custom categories: your own names and icons, in your own order.
- Trends: average spend, peak period, daily pace against the month.

Shared costs, settled properly.
A group keeps its own ledger. Each expense is tracked in the currency it was spent in, so a trip across two countries still adds up correctly at the end.
- Friends and groups: add by username or by scanning a QR code.
- Group chat: discussion attached to the expenses it's about.
- Payment requests: ask for a share, track who has paid.
- Payment handles: send people to the payment app you both use.
- One settle surface: every balance you owe or are owed in one place.

Add each recurring charge once. Budget 66 books it every cycle, keeps a running monthly total, and shows what renews next, on screen and in a widget.
- Active and paused: pause a subscription without losing its history.
- Renewal dates: the next eight upcoming, on the large widget.
- Counted in the budget: recurring charges are spending, and they're treated as such.

Three widgets, every size.
Small, medium, large and extra large. The app has a preview screen for each one, because iOS only lets you configure a widget by long-pressing it on the Home Screen.
- Pulse: monthly spending, remaining budget, your comfort line. Large compares you against last month, or against a friend.
- Trend: daily bars you can flip between this week and this month.
- Subscriptions: monthly total, active count, upcoming renewals.
